This day I discovered that this pine like coniferous tree has little bulbs which could be the flowers! Or maybe it’s just a deformation. Who knows… pretty cute though. Lesson yet again as per usual as we had intech in the morning and it was about thermal insulation. We ended the lesson with a nice national geographic video about concrete. How cool to have cable TV. I never knew that concrete would be a more ideal material to build with as the buildings get taller and taller to the sky instead of steel. The Dubai tower was used as an example to illustrate this theory. The tower should have been completed in 2008 but I guess due to money issues, it’s still under construction this very day.
Finally the homesickness kicked in at the 5th week. I guess food is one of the main factors because I’m pretty sick of eating the same things over and over again and due to my special diet, I have even lesser choices here unlike my friends. But every place cooks the same things and they even cook it the same way. So no matter where you go for food, everything tastes about the same. GOSH. I’ve been trying to think up recipes with the little resources I have here. Two and a half more weeks to go…
