Day 7

Today we went to the Cherry blossom festival with the local students, the event was organized by the school’s IT club… (strange isn’t it?!) anyways, for this event, my buddies and I went for it without the other lecturers and only 8 of us and 4 others from DID went. The entire group of CLS students went too (with their lecturers), but the DIDians were alone! Hahs.. we were so proud of ourselves =P

The bus was really interesting as there were even seats in the middle aisle which can be folded up to the sides… oh my.. really making full use of the facilities.

The entire bus journey took more than an hour and I was getting skeptical because after
So long I have yet to see a single cluster of Cherry blossom trees. But along the way, we saw some pretty interesting sights.

When we finally reached the Park, we had to pay 15 bucks to enter the park… and it was…

WOW…

korean drama in the making...haha!

Besides the beautiful trees, the place had a fantastic view of mountains and a lake…
It felt like a buy 1 get 1 free situation.

china popcorn in the making...

Brrr… it was really freezing cold here due to the high altitude, but we still had fun =D
Besides the natural scenery, it seems that the local people have funfair stalls here too, and the prizes were all really attractive… HUGE soft toys… I was so tempted to get 1 but it would be impossible to bring it back to Singapore.. sigh.. such a pity…

isn't it cute???

And yes, another first time experience I had here.. was the open concept toilet…

GOSH… the people queuing can simply just stare at you doing your business and there was not even a proper toilet, its simply a shed with very low partitions and a huge "hole" that runs through 3"cubicals" which collects everything and anything and from since don’t know when. My.. what a traumatizing experience.
