Day 13

Today is SHOPPING DAY!!! Whoo… we first took bus 414 to the railway station stop of Dalian and went to the underground shopping mall. The ambience and style of the shopping mall is really similar to Bugis street of Singapore. There are several rules of the thumb-MUST BARGIN!!!! Everything here are pretty much wildly priced and the same item can cost really different shops. I shan’t bore you guys with what I bought but it was really fun shopping =D

By the way.. I found out that I have 1 fake note!!! =x gosh…

Ways to tell if it’s a fake China 100 note:

1. Check the paper quality.

A real note feels rough while a fake feels like thick paper and there is not much texture to it.

2. A real note has a 100 dollar watermark when u show it against a light source. While a fake note will not have it. But the older 100 yuan notes do not have the watermark

3. A real note will have a nice dotted silver line at the back of the note but the fake does not. But the older version 100 yuan does not have it too… so the last resort.

4. A real note’s 100 number is printed with a special kind of ink that changes colour when you view it from different angles. A fake note’s is simply a flat tone.
