Today it yet again the excursion day!.. whoo.. btw its labour day in China too… and people here get to have a long holiday and us?
Still have to study sia…
As ususal I'll start with pictures of the journey there...
Anyways.. thank goodness it didn’t rain like last time(I guess my friend’s teru teru bozu worked!!! Because the forecast said that it would) and for today, we visited several places- 1) The golden beach (金石滩) which was just beside the all famous discovery kingdom, which is a theme park really similar to the Disney theme parks… but yet, the tickets were really expensive, thus not included within the tour package. The ticket costs around 160 yuan… >_>
Anyways, at the beach, it was really cold here, with the sea breeze.
The sand seems more brown then golden… thus I felt skeptical about the name given to it. There wasn’t much to do there except to take pictures. Some of the other guys rented bicycles and even flew kites. Once again, the toilet takes the prize of amusing me. The partition was really low and it was not really clean and it cost me 1 yuan to use it. Which is more expensive then Singapore!!! *grumbles*
yet more pictures of the beach
After the beach, we had yet another long ride to town and had our meal in the very same eating place as last week and thank goodness we had better dishes then last week =D
After the meal, we headed to the Dalian female police calvary training grounds. Here we got to see those huge European horses and the tall female police members. To become part of the team, one must be more than 170 cm in height. We got to see horses running around and visited their stables. Due to Labour day, we could not get to see the performances by the female cops. =( I wonder if it was even charged too. The conditions, I would say are not really nice but the horses were all really tame and we even saw a really funny dog which looks just like a little lion. Besides the animals, for the first time in my life I saw dandelions!
Oh my..pretty aren’t they.. and they are so huge in size compared to those sad ones we have back at home.
I realized that many things here all require an entry ticket and even attractions within the attraction needs money too. I was really surprised that even visiting the female police training grounds require an entry ticket.
the stables...
After the training grounds we went to Dalian’s viewing tower and we had to pay yet again for just viewing it for about half an hour. I believe the viewing tower is located at the highest peak of Dalian because from it, you can see almost the entire Dalian from the tower.

We then went to peace square- 和平广场 and bought Mac for dinner =D.. finally familiar food…
